Overview

Non-coding transcript regulating alternative splicing (NTRAS), also called LINC01693 or RP11-354K1.1, is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that does not encode a protein but plays a functional role in RNA regulation within the cell. NTRAS is known to regulate alternative splicing by interacting with splicing and transcription factors, and can alternatively affect gene expression, either via enhancer or promoter regions. It has documented roles in maintaining vascular integrity and is upregulated in certain cancer types, suggesting relevance in oncology and cardiovascular biology. It is not currently considered a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and there are no known drugs that directly interact with it.
