Non-muscle myosin IIB (NMIIB) is a molecular motor protein that interacts with actin filaments to generate contractile forces within cells. It plays critical roles in cell migration, cytoskeletal organization, cytokinesis, and neuronal function, especially in stabilizing tension and guiding directional movement. NMIIB is widely expressed across human tissues, including cardiac muscle, and its dysfunction is associated with various diseases.
