Norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitors (NDRIs) are a class of medications that work by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine, increasing the extracellular levels of these neurotransmitters and enhancing noradrenergic and dopaminergic neurotransmission in the brain. They are used to treat a variety of conditions, including depression, ADHD, and nicotine addiction.
Inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine by blocking the norepinephrine transporter (NET) and dopamine transporter (DAT), increasing the concentration and prolonging the activity of these neurotransmitters in the synaptic cleft.
