Target intelligence / Profile preview

NOTCH regulated ankyrin repeat protein (NRARP)

Target
NRARP
Molecular classification
Ankyrin repeat-containing protein, Transcription factor regulator
01

Overview

NRARP is a protein that functions as a feedback inhibitor of the Notch signaling pathway. It interacts with components of the Notch transcriptional activation complex, specifically NICD and RBPJ, inhibiting the expression of Notch target genes. It also integrates signals from the Wnt pathway, playing a role in angiogenesis and vascular development. Dysregulation of NRARP has been implicated in spondylocostal dysostosis and certain cancers, including leukemia and breast cancer.
