NRXN3 antisense RNA 2 (NRXN3-AS2) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed in the antisense orientation to the NRXN3 (Neurexin 3) gene locus. Like many antisense RNAs, it does not code for a protein, but may regulate the expression or splicing of the associated NRXN3 gene, which encodes an important synaptic cell adhesion protein involved in neurotransmission.
