Target intelligence / Profile preview
IKKβ, also known as IKK2, is a serine/threonine protein kinase and a key component of the IκB kinase (IKK) complex. It plays a crucial role in the canonical NF-κB signaling pathway by phosphorylating IκBα, leading to its degradation and subsequent activation of NF-κB transcription factors. This pathway regulates genes involved in inflammation, immunity, cell survival, and proliferation. IKKβ is a therapeutic target for inflammatory diseases and cancer.
Inhibition of IKKβ phosphorylation activity, preventing NF-κB activation.
