Nuclear pore complex-interacting protein family member B15 (NPIPB15) is a human protein encoded by the NPIPB15 gene on chromosome 16. The protein is predicted to be located in the extracellular region and may function as a transcriptional repressor, but currently lacks confirmed molecular or cellular function[2][7][12]. It belongs to a larger poorly characterized family of nuclear pore complex-interacting proteins, and shares paralogy with NPIPB7[7]. There is no evidence to classify NPIPB15 among major molecular target classes such as receptors, enzymes, or ion channels. Although mRNA and protein are expressed in various human tissues and cancers, NPIPB15 is not recognized as a therapeutic target, disease biomarker, or druggable protein[7][8][12].
