Nuclear receptor binding factor 2 pseudogene 4 (NRBF2P4) is a human pseudogene—an inactive genomic segment that shares homology with the functional nuclear receptor binding factor 2 gene but does not encode a functional protein[5][8]. Pseudogenes like NRBF2P4 may be transcribed into RNA, and in some cases, pseudogenes can influence gene expression through RNA-mediated mechanisms, but such functions have not been specifically validated for NRBF2P4[2][4]. Currently, NRBF2P4 is not considered a therapeutic target, does not have known disease associations, and plays no established role in drug response or pathology. Its main distinction is its annotation as a pseudogene in human genomic databases[5][8].
