Nucleolin pseudogene 2 is a human pseudogene designated as NCLP2, with alternative name bA85L21.1, and is cataloged in genomic databases with NCBI Gene ID: 100379142[5][9][7]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically nonfunctional; they may result from gene duplication or retrotransposition and generally do not encode functional proteins[5][9].
