Target intelligence / Profile preview
Nucleoporin 50 pseudogene 2 (NUP50P2) is a pseudogene, a non-functional DNA sequence similar to the functional nucleoporin 50 gene (NUP50). While the functional NUP50 encodes a nuclear pore complex protein involved in nuclear-cytoplasmic transport and cell cycle regulation, the pseudogene itself does not code for a functional protein and has no known biological or clinical role. It is not considered a drug target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter. Clinical and biological data regarding nucleoporin function should reference NUP50, not NUP50P2.
None for the pseudogene or the canonical protein (not a drug target)
