Overview

Nucleoredoxin pseudogene 1 (NXNP1) is annotated as a pseudogene derived from the nucleoredoxin (NXN) gene. Pseudogenes are segments of DNA that resemble functional genes but typically lack the ability to encode active protein products due to mutations, truncations, or lack of regulatory elements.
