Overview

Nurim (encoded by the NRM gene) is an integral membrane protein located in the inner nuclear membrane, tightly associated with the nucleus. It contains transmembrane domains and displays sequence similarity to isoprenylcysteine carboxymethyltransferase enzymes. While alternative splicing results in several transcript variants, there is no evidence to date of therapeutic targeting, receptor activity, or enzymatic activity for this molecule[2][1]. It is not listed as a drug target, receptor, or enzyme in major drug or target databases[2][1][3].
