NUT family member 2E is a protein encoded by the NUTM2E gene in humans. While its precise biological role remains unclear, NUTM2E has been identified as a protein-coding gene, and alterations involving this gene are implicated in certain rare cancers, including kidney clear cell sarcoma and kidney sarcoma. Its gene is also noted as sharing paralogy with NUTM2B. NUTM2E is not classified as an enzyme, receptor, or transporter and does not have recognized involvement in pathways typically targeted by current therapeutics.
