Obturator nerve articular branch

Molecular classification
Other (peripheral nerve branch)
01

Overview

The obturator nerve articular branch is a small sensory nerve branch arising from either the anterior or posterior division of the obturator nerve. It innervates the capsule of the hip and/or knee joints, contributing to joint sensation. It is not itself a molecular therapeutic target, but is a peripheral nerve structure sometimes encountered during surgical procedures or targeted in nerve blocks for pain or spasticity management.
