Overview

The ocular vasculature refers to the network of blood vessels supplying the eye, particularly the retina and choroid. Diagnostic visualization of this vasculature is crucial for detecting, monitoring, and understanding a wide range of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other vascular pathologies. Key imaging modalities include Fluorescein Angiography (FA), Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA), Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy (cSLO), and Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT). These techniques are used to diagnose ischemic or neovascular conditions, monitor disease progression, and guide treatment decisions.
