Olfactory receptor family 10 subfamily H member 3 (OR10H3) is a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) gene family, which are G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) characterized by a seven-transmembrane domain structure[1][2][3][4][5]. OR10H3 is primarily involved in the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals in the nose, contributing to the perception of smell[1][2][3]. ORs represent the largest gene family in the human genome and detect a wide range of odorant molecules; each receptor may be activated by multiple structurally related odorants[2].
