Olfactory receptor family 10 subfamily Q member 1 (OR10Q1) is a protein encoded by the OR10Q1 gene in humans. It is an olfactory receptor—part of the largest family in the human genome—that enables the detection of odorant molecules within the nasal cavity, triggering neuronal responses responsible for the sensation of smell. As a member of the GPCR family, it has a characteristic seven-transmembrane domain structure and mediates signal transduction through G protein activation.
