Olfactory receptor family 4 subfamily N member 5 (OR4N5) is a protein encoded by the OR4N5 gene in humans. It functions as an odorant receptor in the nasal olfactory epithelium, initiating signal transduction via the G protein-coupled pathway to trigger the perception of smell[4][3][5]. Like all olfactory receptors, it possesses seven transmembrane domains and responds to a wide range of odorant molecules, with broad ligand specificity[3].
