Olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily M member 11 (OR5M11) is a human protein encoded by the OR5M11 gene, classified as a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) belonging to the large family of olfactory receptors. These receptors are expressed primarily in the olfactory epithelium of the nose, where they interact with odorant molecules to initiate neuronal signaling, resulting in the perception of smell[1][5][7]. Like other olfactory receptors, OR5M11 has a characteristic 7-transmembrane domain structure and mediates signal transduction via G proteins.
