Olfactory receptor family 52 subfamily N member 4 (OR52N4) is an olfactory receptor protein in humans, encoded by the *OR52N4* gene[2][4]. Like other olfactory receptors, OR52N4 detects odorant molecules in the nose, initiating a neuronal response that contributes to the sense of smell[2][4][7]. OR52N4 is a typical G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), containing seven transmembrane domains, and it signals via G protein–mediated transduction upon binding an odorant[4][2]. Olfactory receptors form the largest gene family in the human genome and are highly diverse; most are involved exclusively in olfactory pathways, with expression and function primarily limited to sensory tissues in the nasal epithelium[2][4]. There is currently no evidence of therapeutic targeting, drug interaction, specific disease association, or biomarker status for OR52N4[4][5].
