Olfactory receptor family 7 subfamily C member 1 (OR7C1)

Olfactory receptor family 7 subfamily C member 1 (OR7C1) is a G protein-coupled receptor that is part of the largest gene family in the human genome[1][2]. These receptors are primarily responsible for recognizing and binding odorant molecules in the nose, initiating neuronal signals that lead to the perception of smell[1][7].
