Overview

OR7E1P is classified as a human pseudogene within the large olfactory receptor gene family. The majority of olfactory receptor pseudogenes are not considered drug targets, and there are no known therapeutic applications or approved drugs that modulate their activity. Their role, if any, in human biology is generally restricted to genomic context or evolutionary studies rather than direct physiological function.
