One-carbon group transfer reactions are a class of biochemical processes in which single carbon units—such as methyl, methylene, formyl, or formimino groups—are transferred from one molecule to another. These reactions are central to cellular metabolism and underpin the synthesis and modification of nucleic acids, amino acids, and other biomolecules.
