The opioidergic system is a network of opioid receptors (Mu, Delta, Kappa, and NOP/ORL1), their endogenous ligands (β-Endorphin, Enkephalins, Dynorphins), and exogenous agents (opioid drugs) that modulate these receptors. This system plays a central role in pain modulation, reward, mood regulation, addiction, and various physiological processes.
