OR2A1 antisense RNA 1 (OR2A1-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 11, thought to regulate the expression of the OR2A1 olfactory receptor gene[1][2][5]. While the precise molecular function of OR2A1-AS1 remains unclear, some evidence indicates it may serve as a regulatory RNA influencing gene expression patterns. In oncology, decreased OR2A1-AS1 expression has been associated with poorer prognosis in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), particularly within the germinal center B-cell-like subtype, making it a candidate prognostic biomarker rather than a direct therapeutic target[3][4][6].
