OS9 antisense RNA 1 (OS9-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the OS9 locus. It is classified as an antisense lncRNA because it is transcribed from the DNA strand opposite the OS9 gene. There is currently no published functional or mechanistic data specifically for OS9-AS1. However, antisense lncRNAs in general are known to regulate gene expression by forming RNA duplexes with their sense transcripts, influencing mRNA stability, splicing, or translation. OS9-AS1 is annotated in major gene databases, but its precise biological role, disease relevance, and molecular interactions remain uncharacterized.
