Target intelligence / Profile preview
P antigen family member 1 (PAGE1) is a protein encoded by the PAGE1 gene in humans, located on the X chromosome. PAGE1 belongs to a family of cancer/testis antigens typically expressed in a variety of tumors but not in normal tissues, with the exception of the testis. Unlike some other family members, PAGE1 does not encode an antigenic peptide and its biological function remains unknown. PAGE1 is not currently considered a therapeutic target or receptor, and there are no known drugs or established mechanisms of action associated with it. Research on PAGE1 primarily focuses on its expression profile as a member of the broader cancer/testis antigen family
