P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1), also known as CD162 and encoded by the SELPLG gene, is a type I transmembrane mucin-like glycoprotein primarily expressed on most hematopoietic cells. It mediates leukocyte rolling and extravasation, and functions as a negative immune checkpoint receptor modulating T-cell activation and exhaustion. It interacts with P-, E-, and L-selectins, as well as VISTA, Siglec-5, versican and CCL19/CCL21, playing a role in inflammation, cancer, and HIV infection.
