PACRG antisense RNA 1 (non-protein coding) (PACRG-AS1)

Target
PACRG-AS1
Molecular classification
Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA), Natural antisense transcript, Other
01

Overview

PACRG antisense RNA 1 (PACRG-AS1) is a long noncoding RNA gene transcribed in the opposite direction to the PACRG gene. It is considered a natural antisense transcript (NAT), a class of RNAs that may regulate gene expression through base-pairing interactions with sense transcripts or modulate chromatin structure, but no specific molecular functions or clinical implications have yet been attributed to PACRG-AS1 in scientific literature[6][1]. PACRG-AS1 is annotated in genomic databases, including GeneCards, but detailed data on its expression profile, regulatory functions, or disease involvement remains unavailable. Further studies are required to clarify its role in physiology or pathology.
