The PADRE peptide-MHC Class II complex consists of a synthetic peptide called PADRE (Pan DR-binding epitope, commonly sequence AKFVAAWTLKAAA), engineered for high-affinity binding to the majority of human HLA-DR Class II MHC molecules. PADRE’s interaction with MHC II forms a peptide-MHC complex that is recognized by CD4+ T-cells, triggering robust helper T-cell responses.
