Overview

Paraneoplastic Ma antigen family member 6A (PNMA6A) is a poorly characterized protein in humans, encoded on the X chromosome, and belongs to the PNMA (paraneoplastic antigen Ma) family of proteins. It is identified primarily by sequence homology to other paraneoplastic Ma antigens but does not have a well-defined molecular function or clear role in known biological pathways. PNMA6A is not currently considered a therapeutic target and is not known to interact with drugs. Disease associations are limited and include rare links to congenital hypothyroidism and Leber congenital amaurosis, but there is no evidence for a prominent role in cancer or other major disease categories.
