These TCRs are often characterized by specific V-beta chain usage and are restricted by specific HLA alleles, most notably HLA-DRB1*11:01 in Mediterranean populations (PubMed: 9101110). By modulating the activity of these receptors, clinicians can achieve long-term desensitization and improve the quality of life for patients suffering from severe pellitory allergy.
