PATL1 divergent transcript (PATL1-DT)

PATL1 divergent transcript (PATL1-DT) is a long non-coding RNA gene located near, and oriented divergently from, the protein-coding gene PATL1. As a lncRNA, PATL1-DT is transcribed but not translated into protein; its precise biological function, molecular targets, and physiological role have not been characterized in the scientific literature or major gene databases to date[5]. There is no evidence that PATL1-DT is a therapeutic target, nor are there disease associations or drugs targeting this transcript currently reported. Existing information distinguishes it from the protein-coding gene PATL1, which is involved in mRNA decapping and processing body assembly.
