PC-esterase domain-containing protein 1A (PCED1A)

PC-esterase domain-containing protein 1A (PCED1A) is a hydrolytic enzyme belonging to the GDSL/SGNH superfamily, characterized by esterase and lipase activity with broad substrate specificity[2][6][8]. It features a catalytic triad of serine, aspartate, and histidine and falls within the Pmr5-Cas1p-esterase subfamily[2][8]. PCED1A is widely expressed and undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in multiple protein isoforms[2][8].
