PDXP divergent transcript (PDXP-DT) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene locus located divergently from the protein-coding gene PDXP (pyridoxal phosphatase) in the human genome. Divergent transcripts are non-coding RNAs generally found in close proximity (within a few hundred nucleotides) to protein-coding genes but on the opposite DNA strand, often transcribed bidirectionally from a shared promoter region. Their biological functions are frequently unclear and may include roles in gene regulation or chromatin architecture. There is no evidence establishing PDXP-DT as a therapeutic target, nor is there any current association with disease mechanisms, interacting drugs, or function as a biomarker. The entity is not a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or well-defined molecular target class as used in therapeutic development.
