Peptidylprolyl isomerase A pseudogene 29 (PPIAP29) is a non-functional pseudogene related to the peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA, also known as cyclophilin A) gene family. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to known genes but typically do not produce functional proteins due to mutations, insertions, or deletions. While some pseudogenes may have regulatory roles as non-coding RNAs affecting gene expression, there is currently no scientific evidence indicating that PPIAP29 participates in such mechanisms or has any biological function or clinical relevance.
