Peptidylprolyl isomerase A pseudogene 32 (PPIAP32) is a pseudogene related to the peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA) gene family. Pseudogenes are nonfunctional segments of DNA that resemble known genes but do not produce functional protein products due to disabling mutations or loss of regulatory elements[5]. While some pseudogenes can be transcribed as non-coding RNAs and may influence parental gene expression through regulatory mechanisms, there is currently no evidence or reference in major genetic databases (e.g., GeneCards, PubMed) that PPIAP32 has a defined biological, clinical, or pharmacological role. There are no known drugs, clinical biomarkers, or disease associations for PPIAP32. Its nomenclature and structure suggest it is one of several noncoding copies derived from the active PPIA locus, but information specific to PPIAP32 is not available in commonly referenced gene knowledge bases, and most referenced work on PPIA pseudogenes focuses on other family members (such as PPIAP22 or PPIAP30)[1][2][4][5].
