Peptidylprolyl isomerase A pseudogene 4 (PPIAP4) is classified as a pseudogene and does not encode a functional protein. It is part of the larger family of pseudogenes similar to peptidylprolyl isomerase A (cyclophilin A), an enzyme involved in protein folding, immune modulation, and viral life cycle[7].
