Peptidylprolyl isomerase A pseudogene 9 (PPIAP9) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene related to the PPIA gene, which encodes cyclophilin A, a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase involved in protein folding, immune regulation, and various cellular functions[1]. PPIAP9 does not encode a functional protein and is classified as a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) pseudogene. Although certain PPIA pseudogenes have been implicated in gene expression regulation and cancer biology (such as PPIAP22), there are no established biological roles, disease associations, or therapeutic implications specific to PPIAP9[3]. As such, it is not considered a molecular target for drugs or diagnostics.
