The phosphoinositide 3-kinase-AKT (PI3K-AKT) pathway is a highly conserved intracellular signaling cascade that plays a central role in regulating diverse cellular processes, including metabolism, growth, proliferation, survival, protein synthesis, transcription, and apoptosis.
