Target intelligence / Profile preview
PLA2G10P1 (Phospholipase A2 group X pseudogene 1) is a non-functional, genomically encoded sequence that is highly homologous to the protein-coding PLA2G10 gene. Unlike PLA2G10, which encodes a secreted, calcium-dependent phospholipase A2 enzyme involved in lipid hydrolysis and inflammatory signaling, PLA2G10P1 does not translate into a functional protein and is not considered relevant as a drug target or biomarker[1][5]. Pseudogenes such as PLA2G10P1 may have residual or regulatory genomic activity, but no such function has been described for this locus.
