Phospholipase A2 group XV (PLA2G15)

Phospholipase A2 group XV (PLA2G15) is a lysosomal enzyme with both phospholipase and transacylase activities, uniquely localized within the lysosome and late endosome[1][2][5]. It regulates intracellular lipid homeostasis and processes both oxidized and non-oxidized phospholipids, hydrolyzing the fatty acid at the sn-1 or sn-2 position as well as functioning as a transacylase[1][2]. Its activity can occur at acidic lysosomal pH, and it may also act at neutral pH when secreted or present in plasma[1].
