Instead, it is a modifiable behavior with genetic, physiological, and social determinants; scientific interventions often aim to alter or promote this behavior to improve population health[1][3][5][7]. Recent research does identify molecular changes and genetic factors *influenced by* (or *predisposing to*) physical activity behavior, but "physical activity behavior" itself is not a molecule, receptor, or gene[2][4][6].
