Target intelligence / Profile preview

Physical property

01

Overview

"Physical property" refers to a measurable attribute of matter, such as molecular weight, hydrophobicity, melting point, or solubility, rather than a discrete biomolecule or receptor. While physical properties are essential for characterizing molecules and materials, they are not themselves molecular entities, proteins, enzymes, or receptors targeted by drugs. Therefore, 'physical property' is not a valid entry as a therapeutic target or biological receptor.
