Transport processes, such as those mediated by TRPM6 and TRPM7 channels, are critical for maintaining the systemic balance of these components (UniProt, 2024). Because this entry encompasses a vast array of distinct proteins and metabolic pathways, it cannot be targeted by a single therapeutic agent but is instead managed through nutritional or specialized pharmacological interventions.
Modulation occurs through cofactor supplementation to restore enzymatic activity, or through drug-induced depletion/inhibition of specific enzymes within these pathways.
