Platelet adhesion initiates thrombus formation to arrest bleeding and plays roles in wound healing, inflammation, immune defense, and pathological conditions such as arterial thrombosis and cancer metastasis[2][4]. Because "platelet adhesion" refers to a physiological event rather than an individual molecular target or receptor, it is not considered a canonical therapeutic target itself; instead, drugs may target the underlying molecules involved in this process.
