PLEKHA3P1 is a human pseudogene that resembles the protein-coding pleckstrin homology domain containing family A member 3 (PLEKHA3) gene, but lacks an open reading frame and is not translated into a functional protein. PLEKHA3P1 is annotated in some genomic databases, primarily as a pseudogene and not as a protein-coding gene or therapeutic target[2]. The pseudogene designation means PLEKHA3P1 does not have the functional roles, disease links, or drug interactions attributed to PLEKHA3 (FAPP1), its protein-coding homologue[2][3].
