Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A member 2 (PLEKHA2) is a cytoplasmic protein that specifically binds phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate at the plasma membrane, where it may recruit additional signaling proteins involved in intracellular signaling and cell-matrix adhesion[1][4][6]. It is implicated in pathways related to phosphoinositide metabolism and signal transduction, contributing to the positive regulation of cell-matrix adhesion. PLEKHA2 is broadly expressed and localizes to the cytoplasm and membrane. Mutations or altered function in PLEKHA2 have been associated with some hematological malignancies such as B-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma with ETV6-RUNX1, but it is not currently known to be directly targeted by any therapeutic drugs[1][6].
