Target intelligence / Profile preview
PLPPR5 antisense RNA 1 (PLPPR5-AS1) is a human long non-coding RNA located at chromosome 1p21.3. It is transcribed in an antisense orientation relative to the PLPPR5 gene and is selectively expressed in nervous system tissue. The biological roles of PLPPR5-AS1 remain largely uncharacterized, but by analogy to other antisense lncRNAs, it may participate in regulating the function or stability of neighboring genes or modulating chromatin states. There are currently no known disease associations, interacting drugs, or mechanisms of action reported for this RNA.
