Target intelligence / Profile preview
Plutonium is a silvery-gray, radioactive metal belonging to the actinide series. It is primarily man-made, with trace amounts occurring naturally from uranium decay. Plutonium has fifteen known isotopes, with Plutonium-238 used in radioisotope thermoelectric generators and Plutonium-239 used in nuclear weapons and reactors. All isotopes of plutonium are radioactive and pose health risks due to their radiotoxicity.
